Reasons why big companies are moving to San Francisco

San Francisco has for a long time been a hub for tech companies. Many tech giants have used movers San Francisco Bay Area to relocate their headquarters to the Bay Area. It helps them with the search for talent, funding, and networking opportunities. However, due to the pandemic outbreak, the tech industry had faced problems. Namely, due to the lockdowns, many companies, including San Francisco tech giants, decided to apply a hybrid way of working. Or they had employees working full-time from their home offices. But, a recent study showed that office-based employees were scoring better working results. Still, big companies continuously decide to relocate to this area. So let’s why the big companies are moving to San Francisco .

Why big companies are moving to San Francisco?

For a long period, Silicon Valley was one of the most desirable places for young professionals. In this tech hub, hosting many giants, they could find excellent employment. And, they were flocking in, regardless of the real estate prices skyrocketing. However, given a chance to work from home during the pandemic time, many of them have moved to cheaper places like Lake Tahoe and Austin. But, at the end of the last year, the situation has dramatically changed. Employees were asked to come back to their offices. Or at least to accept the hybrid work. Which means that they have to show up in the office two to three times a week.

Moving back to San Francisco Bay Area

In order to keep their jobs, young professionals were forced to move back. So, many of them were using the services of movers South San Francisco to return to their previous homes. Or at least to some which are a bit more affordable.  Many of them were also moving to one of the SF suburbs. The real estate there is much cheaper. And, they still have excellent commuting possibilities if working downtown. Besides, due to many companies cutting their lease, the downtown offices got much cheaper for the time being. And, having fewer employees, they also need less space than before. So, moving to San Francisco downtown become rather affordable for companies.

The ghost downtown

The use of office movers San Francisco and the return of the big companies to SF is also very important for the city. Namely, many big companies were located in SF downtown before the pandemic times. And, they also needed a good infrastructure. However, since the introduction of remote work, the famous SF rush hour has ceased to exist. Besides, with a such huge concentration of people working in the SF downtown offices, they needed to eat. That was the reason why we could see so many restaurants and coffee shops around. So, during the break, or after work, they were shopping. It is not needed even to emphasize what was happening with all those jobs suddenly losing a huge number of customers. And, seeing the city coming back to life is a wonderful sight.
