Welcome to Zapt Movers! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website and the moving services we offer. By accessing our website or booking a move with Zapt Movers, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use our services.
1. Services Provided
Zapt Movers offers local and long-distance moving services, including packing, loading, unloading, storage, and transportation of household and commercial goods. Additional services may include furniture disassembly/reassembly, packing materials, and specialty item handling.
All services are subject to availability and confirmation via written quote or agreement.
2. Booking and Estimates
All estimates provided are non-binding until confirmed in writing.
Final charges are based on actual time, labor, distance, and materials used during the move.
Additional charges may apply for:
Specialty items (e.g., pianos, safes)
Delays caused by the customer
3. Customer Responsibilities
You agree to:
Provide accurate information about the inventory and move details
Be present or have an authorized representative on-site during the move
Prepare the location for safe and legal access
Ensure that all items to be moved are ready and packed (unless packing services are included)
4. Valuation & Liability
Zapt Movers provides basic valuation coverage as required by law (e.g., $0.60 per pound per item in California). Optional full value protection may be offered at an additional cost.
We are not liable for:
Items packed by the customer
Pre-existing damage
Jewelry, cash, documents, or other valuables not disclosed and excluded in writing
Delays due to traffic, weather, or unforeseen events
For claims, please refer to our Claims Policy or request a claim form via email.
5. Cancellations and Rescheduling
Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the scheduled move will receive a full refund of any deposits.
Cancellations within 48 hours may be subject to a cancellation fee.
Rescheduling requests are subject to availability and should be made as early as possible.
6. Payment Terms
Payment is due upon completion of the move, unless otherwise stated in writing.
We accept credit cards, debit cards, venmo, zelle, cash and approved third-party financing platforms (e.g., Afterpay and Wisetack).
A deposit may be required to secure your move date.
Late payments or chargebacks may incur additional fees and legal action if not resolved.
7. Prohibited Items
The following items may not be transported:
Hazardous materials
Explosives or flammable items
Perishable food
Pets or live animals
Illegal goods
Zapt Movers reserves the right to refuse service if any prohibited items are found.
8. Website Use
By using our website, you agree not to:
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
Copy, scrape, or reproduce website content for commercial use without permission
Submit false information or spam through our contact or quote forms
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zapt Movers shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services or website.
10. Modifications to the Terms
Zapt Movers reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. Changes will be posted on this page with the revised date.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California and/or Texas (depending on service location), without regard to conflict of law principles.
