This policy explains what information Zapt Movers collects when you use our website or request a move, what we do with it, and who else sees it. It applies to zaptmovers.com and to the moving services provided by CPL LLC, doing business as Zapt Movers and Move Basic.
Section 1Who we are
CPL LLC, doing business as Zapt Movers, is a household and commercial moving company operating in California and Texas. We are licensed by the California Public Utilities Commission (CAL-T0192235) and registered with the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT 3438977).
Section 2What we collect
We only collect what we need to quote and carry out a move.
Information you give us:
- Your name, phone number and email address
- The pickup and delivery addresses, and details about access at each end, such as stairs, elevators and parking
- Your preferred move date and arrival window
- An inventory of the items to be moved, and any packing or materials you request
- Anything you choose to tell us in a notes field, by email, or in a text message
Information collected automatically:
- Standard web server records, including IP address, browser type and the pages you visited
- Marketing campaign parameters in the link you arrived through, where present, so we know which advertisement or page led to your enquiry
We do not collect payment card numbers on this website. Card payments are handled by a third-party processor, and we do not store full card numbers.
Section 3How we use it
- To prepare your estimate and schedule and perform your move
- To contact you about your quote, your arrival window, crew updates and payment
- To calculate driving distance and time between your two addresses
- To answer questions and handle any claim
- To meet our legal and regulatory obligations as a licensed carrier
- To understand which of our pages and advertisements bring in enquiries
We do not sell your personal information.
Section 5Text messages
If you provide your mobile number when requesting a quote, you may receive text messages from Zapt Movers about your move — quote follow-ups, arrival windows, crew updates, payment links, and replies to questions you send us.
Consent to receive text messages is given directly to Zapt Movers. Mobile information and text messaging opt-in data will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not sell, rent, or share mobile numbers with any third party for their own marketing.
Message frequency varies and depends on your move. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Section 6How long we keep it
We keep move records for as long as we need them to operate the business, to handle claims, and to meet the record-keeping obligations that apply to a licensed motor carrier. When a record is no longer needed for those purposes, we delete it or remove the details that identify you.
Section 7Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. California residents have these rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right not to be treated differently for exercising them.
To make a request, email support@zaptmovers.com. We may need to verify your identity before we act on it. Some information has to be retained where the law requires it.
Section 8Children
This website and our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Section 9Security
This site is served over an encrypted connection and access to our systems is limited to the staff who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this policy. The current version is always posted here with its effective date.
